Due to the current situation, Christina and I unfortunately could not start our trip to Madeira, nor can we lead our workshop in Iceland in the first week of June. But well, first of all there are much worse problems in these times and secondly we were able to capture really many great moods in nature in German meadows and forests in the last weeks as an "alternative program".
Among other things, we created 3 blog series, whose protagonists are our local nature reserves. I will show them in the following order:
1. Today, it starts with a few tree impressions from the heath and forests of NRW.
2. In two weeks I will show you this year's impressions from the bluebell woods of NRW.
3. Finally, there is an extensive series about the wild garlic forests of the Nature Reserve Eifel: this is already one of my highlights in 2020, I have rarely seen such impressive forests.
In this first series you will find a mix of pictures that were mostly unplanned. We spent a lot of time in nature after work and on the weekends - spring showed a lot of colours and shapes.
We also went to grain, rape and tulip fields, because they are really beautiful to look at at that time. However, those who know me know that photographically I can't do much with such man-made cultural landscapes - so I focused mainly on the heaths, meadows and forests of the Bergisches Land and the Ruhr area.
